New contract, new look: a fresh approach to school dining where food, fun and learning come together.
Juniper has unveiled its new Juniper Club identity, bringing colour, creativity and positive food messaging to primary school dining halls. The company secured a 3 year contract with the Mayflower Federation in November to provide catering services across its two schools – Phoenix Primary Lower & Upper, and Ilderton Primary – with these schools now the first to see the new branding come to life.
Juniper Club captures the warmth and inclusivity of shared mealtimes, designed to make lunchtime a moment of connection, discovery and enjoyment for every child. The new look represents a major milestone for Juniper as it elevates its visual identity across all catering, cleaning and safety services.
At Mayflower, the Juniper Club transformation is visible throughout the dining areas, from hydration and snack stations to bright salad bars, and fun educational messaging around clearing trays and sorting waste. Playful characters and illustrated fruit and vegetables encourage children to “scrape, sort and stack”, teaching positive habits and sustainability from a young age.
Large-scale wall graphics promote wellbeing and balance in an accessible way, helping pupils understand the building blocks of a healthy diet. Designs like “Your Plate is Your Power” and “Recipe for Respect” mix education with imagination and provide schools with the tools to make mealtimes valuable learning opportunities.
“We’re delighted to partner with Juniper across our three primary schools”, said Kelly Mackenzie, School Business Manager from The Mayflower Federation. “We’ve already built a strong partnership with the Juniper team and the feedback from students and staff about the food and visual branding has been extremely positive.”
Mr. Derrick Ogunsola, Head of School at Ilderton Primary School added: “The array of engaging, inviting signage bouncing from the walls has brought vibrancy and energy to the lunch hall. As the children entered the school, fresh into a new half term, they could see that something was different and couldn’t wait to have lunch.”
“The new Juniper Club brand is much more than decoration, it’s about creating a dining experience that celebrates food, learning and community,” said Philippa Terry, Chief Operating Officer at Juniper.
“At Juniper we want to make communities stronger through care, creativity and shared experiences. With a strong community ethos and clear commitment to inclusivity, The Mayflower Federation schools were the perfect place for us to launch Juniper Club, and we look forward to rolling this out further in the months ahead. ”
Juniper plans a phased roll-out of Juniper Club across its portfolio of primary schools over the coming months.
The initiative forms part of a wider rebrand across the Juniper family, including Juniper Kitchen, Juniper Bright, Juniper Safe & Juniper Table, marking a new chapter for the organisation and its commitment to people-first, community-rooted services.
