Eating well, together
Primary School Catering
Good food in primary schools supports more than nutrition. It helps children feel safe, settled and ready to learn.
Juniper Club’s primary school catering focuses on familiarity, routine and positive early experiences with food. Our teams build trusted relationships with pupils, staff and families, helping the dining hall feel calm, welcoming and inclusive.
From daily meals to food education and family reassurance, we provide practical catering that supports the whole school community.
Daily meals designed for younger pupils
Menus are built around child friendly favourites alongside gentle introductions to new foods. Portions, presentation and pacing are tailored for primary age children.
Supportive dining environments
We help schools create dining experiences that work for younger children. This includes calm service, clear routines, encouragement to try foods and positive interactions at the servery.
Allergen management and individual care
Families need confidence that their child’s dietary needs are understood. We work closely with schools and our Registered Dietitian to provide clear allergen processes and bespoke support for individual pupils.
Food education and early food confidence
We deliver age appropriate workshops, tastings and activities that help children explore food with curiosity. This supports early food confidence and healthy habits that can last a lifetime.
“The environment now feels brighter, more engaging and more inviting. The changes have brought new energy to the space and pupils immediately noticed that something felt different. They are excited about lunchtime again, which says a great deal.”

Sustainability learning in real terms
We involve pupils in understanding food waste, recycling and responsibility in ways that make sense to them. Food waste is monitored closely and remains well below national benchmarks, with funded collection supporting schools as budgets remain tight.
Community connection and family trust
Primary schools sit at the heart of their communities. Our approach supports that role through visible teams, strong relationships with families and meaningful community impact beyond the school gate.
Consistent familiar teams
Children thrive on routine and familiarity. We prioritise consistency of staffing so pupils see the same friendly faces each day, helping build trust and confidence.
Clear communication with school leaders
We provide practical reporting and open communication so leaders have clear visibility of uptake, performance and areas for improvement.
